Bihar, India, broke several world records in cricket history by scoring 574/6 in a Group A ODI.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi also broke the record book by scoring 190 runs off 84 balls in that match.
Suryavanshi managed to score a century off 36 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket tournament, setting a world record.
Suryavanshi, who is 14 years and 272 days old, took his innings to 190 runs in this match, scoring 150 runs off 59 balls and 190 runs off 84 balls.
With this century, Suryavanshi entered the record books as the youngest player in the world to score a century in a Group ‘A’ ODI. He also became the fastest batsman to score 150 runs in an international or non-international match with his 59-ball 150.
Earlier, South Africa’s AB de Villiers had scored 150 runs in 64 balls against West Indies in 2015.
In this match, Kibul Ghani scored an unbeaten 128 runs and Ayush Loharuka scored 116 runs, as a result of which Bihar scored 574 runs in 50 overs. This is the highest score by a team in Group ‘A’ in men’s cricket.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu had set this record in 2022, scoring 506 runs for 2 wickets in 50 overs.
In a Group A match, this is second only to the 632 runs scored by the Kandy Women’s Cricket Team for 4 wickets against the Pushpadana Women’s Team of Sri Lanka in a women’s domestic ODI match held in Sri Lanka in 2007.
