The development of the Diyagama Stadium will resume soon and the necessary plans have been prepared for it, said the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage.

The Minister said this at a media briefing held at the Diyagama Sports Complex in Homagama today (11). He was addressing the media briefing called to inform about the current status of the stadium and future development activities. Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Eranga Gunasekara and Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Thilakaratne participated in the event.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports said that this year’s budget is expected to allocate a significant amount for sports development compared to previous years. The Minister also answered questions raised by journalists regarding the issue that has arisen regarding the Olympic Committee.
