Susanthika Jayasinghe’s 24-Year-Old Asian Games Women’s 100m Record Broken

The 24-year-old record held by Sri Lanka’s Susanthika Jayasinghe in the Asian Games women’s 100m event was broken today.
This occurred during the final of the women’s 100m event at the Asian Games.
Yujie Chen, a 17-year-old athlete from China, set this new games record today by clocking a time of 11.06 seconds.
The record that was broken today was the one established by Sri Lanka’s Susanthika Jayasinghe in 2002 in Busan, South Korea, where she clocked 11.15 seconds.
