R.M.D. Rukmal of the Uva Province Crowned National Games Race Walking Champion men’s category

R.M.D. Rukmal of the Uva Province clinched the Men’s title respectively at the 50th National Sports Festival Race Walking Championship, held this morning (05).

In the Men’s race, R.M.D. Rukmal (Bib No. 171) representing the Uva Province clocked a stellar 1:35:02 to claim the national title. D.G. Imantha Sahan (Bib No. 161) of the Southern Province finished second with a timing of 1:36:14, while H.M.S.R. Herath (Bib No. 127) representing the North Central Province (NCP) secured the third place, timing 1:38:01. Backed by consistent performances, the Southern Province secured the Men’s Team Championship as well, completing a double team triumph.
