Sri Lanka’s young para athletes perform an outstanding performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai, winning three gold medals and two bronze medals across track and field events.
The Games, detained from 7-14 December, brought together over 1,500 participants from 35 nations.
Sri Lanka’s team, headed by Viruja Senila, was made up of nine athletes who showcased pliability and talent on the international stage.
The medal accomplishments of the Sri Lankan team are as follows:
- Dilmini Udumbara Kumarage – Discus Throw, Under-17 Women’s (Category F40/41): Gold Medal
- Dilmini Udumbara Kumarage – Shot Put, Under-17 Women’s (Category F40/41): Gold Medal
- Senuwara Sandilu – 100m, Under-17 Men’s (Category T47): Gold Medal
- Senuwara Sandilu – Long Jump, Under-17 Men’s (Category T47): Bronze Medal
- Mohamed Isham Yoonus – 400m, Under-20 Men’s (Category T42-47/T61-64): Bronze Medal
