In a exciting show of skill, three students from S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia emerged victorious in their respective age groups at the seventh All-Island Archery Championships held in Kurunegala.
The championship observed exceptional talent from several schools and clubs across the country, including Ananda, Nalanda, Royal, Gateway, Maliyadeva, Asian International School and Wayamba Archery, Racecourse Archery and Uva Archery Club.
The Thomian Team Captain, Rohith Kiridena won the Gold Medal in the Under-21 age category. In the Under-17 age category, the Team Secretary, Dineth Gunawardena and Senaka de Silva won the Silver and Bronze Medals respectively.
Veteran archer and professional trainer Jagath Weeratunga coached the team.
