Pakistan U17 and Sri Lanka U17 battle begins tomorrow
Measures have been taken to tighten security across the city of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, for the upcoming T20 cricket series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Pakistani federal government and the Punjab provincial government have deployed the army and special forces to ensure the safety of the visiting Sri Lankan team and the matches themselves. The Sri Lankan team has already arrived in Rawalpindi for this three-match T20 series, with all games scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11, and 13. Authorities have taken steps to bolster security around the stadium and other key locations in Rawalpindi as the city prepares for the international cricket series. In addition to the police and other law enforcement agencies, the army and special forces have been integrated into the security operations.
