Renowned football star Cristiano Ronaldo has been fined 255 Euros and handed a 30-day match ban for leaving the Portuguese national football team’s training camp ahead of schedule.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Portuguese Football Federation announced these sanctions on Monday, concluding that the charges against him had been fully substantiated.

The official statement noted that the Portuguese Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee determined, following an investigation, that the allegations against him were entirely confirmed. Accordingly, it is stated that the respondent, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, has been found guilty of committing a disciplinary violation punishable under Article 160(1) of the RDFPF. Consequently, he has been handed a 30-day suspension from matches and a fine of 255.00 Euros.

In determining the amount of the fine, the committee took into account factors favorable to Ronaldo, such as his contributions to the sport of football and the recognition he has received for his athletic prowess.

The statement further noted that, in light of his exceptional service to football and the accolades earned for his sporting skills, the respondent, Cristiano Ronaldo, submitted his sporting record—detailing the awards and recognition received throughout his career—to the committee.
