Police kept their hopes alive to remain in the top four after a 19 points (3 tries, two conversions) to 10 (2 tries) victory over Sri Lanka Army in their inter club Rugby fixture of the Nippon Paint Inter Club Rugby League Tournament at Police Park.
Due to some poor place kicking, once again Army missed out 13 valuable points which deprived them of certain victory.
Capitalising on the given chances the Cops made one scoring opportunity in the first half while running away two more in the second which enabled them to outsmart the rivals and to retain their hopes of being within the top four teams of the competition while scoring their second win.
