Newly Selected Tier 3 Sri Lanka Rugby National Pool Enrolled in “Mission Olympic” Program; Monthly Allowance of LKR 135,000 for Players
The token handover of allowances and the formal enrollment of newly selected players into the Sri Lanka Rugby ‘Tier 3’ National Pool under the “Mission Olympic” program took place today (26th) at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
This initiative was launched to recognize and reward talented young players who demonstrated exceptional performance in domestic and international rugby arenas over the past year. Accordingly, 21 players from the Sri Lanka Rugby pool will receive a monthly allowance of LKR 135,000 each.
Furthermore, a one-time special incentive of LKR 180,000 each was awarded to the 16 members of the women’s rugby team who recently clinched the championship title at the Casa 7s tournament.
