
Sri Lanka will open their 2025 Asia Rugby Men’s Championship campaign beside South Korea on 14 June at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo.
The fixture marks Sri Lanka’s return to the continent’s top rugby division, subsequent their emphatic 59–19 victory over Malaysia in the playoff round in April.
The tournament follows a round-robin format featuring Sri Lanka, South Korea, Hong Kong China, and the UAE. Sri Lanka will take part Hong Kong China on 22 June in Hong Kong, before finishing their campaign against the UAE on 4 July in Colombo.
The championship brings high stakes, with the winner securing direct qualification to the Rugby World Cup 2027, while the runner-up gets another chance through an Asia/Africa Play-off.
