The cricket and rugby matches of the 15th Sri Lanka University Sports Championship were recently concluded.
The final match of the cricket series was held at Rajarata University and the final match between the University of Colombo and the University of Kelaniya was a close match in which the University of Colombo cricket team managed to win easily. Batting first, the University of Kelaniya team was all out in 44 overs and 5 balls and managed to score 199 runs. In reply, the University of Colombo team scored 200 runs in 41 overs for the loss of just one wicket, thus winning the 2025 Sri Lanka University Games Cricket Championship and the University of Kelaniya team became the runners-up.
The 2025 Sri Lanka University Sports Tournament Rugby Final between the University of Colombo and the University of Jayewardenepura was held at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy. Both teams showed an aggressive style of play in the first half. The University of Colombo team won the 2025 Sri Lanka University Sports Tournament Rugby Championship with 35 points and the University of Jayewardenepura team with 15 points. The University of Colombo team won the 2025 Sri Lanka University Sports Tournament Rugby Championship, while the University of Jayewardenepura team won the runner-up position.
