Sri Lanka rugby captain Tarinda Ratwatte has declared his retirement from the sport, conclusion a notable career that began at Trinity College in 2006.
The dynamic playmaker runs the national team and represented CR & FC and Kandy Sports Club during his decade-long club career.
In a social media declaration, Ratwatte said rugby had gifted him with lifelong friendships and invaluable lessons.
Even though stepping away from competitive play, he indicated a desire to stay involved through mentoring, coaching, or commentary.
He detailed that “Rugby will always be a part of who I am.”
