This is a significant reduction in value compared to his previous IPL purchases.
Wanindu Hasaranga, who has shown outstanding performance in both international cricket and the IPL, was priced high in previous IPL auctions.
Given his skills as a leg-spinner and batsman, many were surprised by his low valuation in this year’s IPL auction.
