The annual sports festival for party and opposition members of Parliament was held successfully this year as well.
This sports festival was organized under the leadership of Deputy Sports Minister Sugath Thilakaratne and Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Nalin Bandara.
This year’s sports festival was limited to indoor games only and included snooker, billiards, table tennis, chess and checkers.
There was a notable participation of both the ruling and opposition MPs.
At the end of the festival, the Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, the Leader of the House of Parliament Bimal Ratnayake, Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Thilakaratne and the Secretary General of Parliamentary Affairs Kushani Rohanadheera were present to present prizes, trophies and certificates.
