The National Kabaddi Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Association concluded successfully with the participation of women players at the Panagoda Army Indoor Stadium recently.
The Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Kabaddi Team, showing excellent performance, won the women’s championship by defeating the Navy Women’s Team 28 to 34 in the final match, while the Sri Lanka Air Force Men’s Kabaddi Team won the runner-up position in the National Kabaddi Men’s Championship and the Army Team won the National Kabaddi Men’s Championship. Sithum Manojini, who represented the Sri Lanka Air Force, won the award for the best female player in this tournament.
The trophy and certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Panagoda Army Indoor Sports Complex under the patronage of the President of the National Kabaddi Federation, Mr. Indratissa Dedunupitiya.
