At a time when not many provided them the thumbs up for a haul of six medals, the Sri Lankan artistic swimming team returned home after doing exactly that at the 19th Singapore Open Artistic Swimming Championships 2025.

The medal victors were met on arrival at the Katunayake airport and proudly displayed their medals that are now expected to boost the sport in the country.

A total of 14 Sri Lankan athletes participated in the competition, accomplishing notable success with six medals made up of two silver and four bronze.

The medals reflect the growing talent and international competitiveness of Sri Lankan artistic swimming according to promoters.

Andrea Thirukumar disputing the junior solo event bagged two silver medals as the best achievement that made her most outstanding from the rest of her team-mates.

Another contestant Menakha Gomez won two bronze medals in the Open solo category.

Dhananji Senanayake and Thinara Gunawardena gained bronze medals contesting the Duet Technical event while Saheli Kulasekera and Lisali Karunanayake also won bronze medals contesting the Duet Free event.
