The 9th Inter-Regiment Handball Tournament successfully concluded at the Army Physical Training School, Panagoda, from 31 August to 03 September 2024, with the participation of 224 athletes representing 13 Regiments. Major General Mihindu Perera , Quarter Master General and Chairman of the Army Handball Sports Committee, graced the final event as the Chief Guest.
In the women’s category, the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps emerged as champions, scoring 25 points, while the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps secured 16 points as runners-up. In the men’s category, the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment claimed victory with 40 points, while Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment scored 35 points as runners-up.
The Chief Guest awarded trophies and certificates to the winners. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks witnessed the tournament.
