Sri Lanka’s top squash player, Ravindu Laksiri, has been honoured as the Player of the Month for the second time in the Professional Squash Association (PSA) – Challenger Series for the month of August. This appreciation comes after two impressive victories by Laksiri.
The Sri Lankan star went unbeaten over the past four weeks, capturing titles both at home and abroad. He clinched the Men’s Open title at Sri Lanka’s inaugural PSA Squash Tour – Challenger in early August. Laksiri then constant his winning streak with a victory at the HCL Squash Tour – Kolkata, which finished on August 31 in India.
This marks the second time Laksiri, currently ranked 134 in the world, and has received the Player of the Month award in his career. The recent tournament in Kolkata featured 48 players from countries including India, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.
