Two Asian teams will have the opportunity to compete in the Rugby World Cup, and the Asian Rugby Emirates Men’s Championship will be held to select the other team. Accordingly, this tournament is scheduled to be held between Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. Accordingly, its first match was held yesterday (13) at the Colombo Racecourse International Stadium. The Sri Lankan team and the South Korean team competed in it, and the South Korean team emerged victorious.

At the end of the match, the South Korean team won the match by scoring 38 points. The Sri Lankan team played a tight match by scoring 34 points. Lasindu Karunaratne of the Sri Lankan team was named the hero of the match. Sri Lanka is scheduled to face two more matches in the future. Accordingly, these matches are scheduled to be held between the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.

There are 45 countries that play rugby in Asia, and this tournament is being held between the top 4 countries in terms of talent among those countries to select the second team from Asia to qualify for the Rugby World Cup.
