‘Ride Colombo 2025’ was a milestone for Sri Lanka, redefining how originality and strategy could be used to bring purpose to life on a massive scale.
Maya Hive Managing Director Ian Iddamalgoda thought “I see ‘Ride Colombo’ as a turning point for Sri Lanka. It showcased how capable we are as a country to host large-scale, impactful events.
“At a time when tourism is on the rise, this event brought new meaning to what experiential and community-driven tourism can look like. It was a collective moment of pride, for the women who rode with purpose, for the teams who brought it to life, and for all of us at Maya Hive who had the privilege of shaping its story.”
All through the campaign, the company worked closely with the teams at Feel Lanka and Across Ceylon, as well as a diverse network of collaborators and partners who shared the common goal of elevating women and placing Sri Lanka firmly on the map as a destination of empowerment and innovation.
‘Ride Colombo 2025’ was a infrequent and powerful convergence of passion, creativity, and purpose. It helped reinforce the company’s motives in creating work that goes beyond metrics – work that moves hearts, sparks change, and leaves a legacy.
On 8 March, as the sun rose over Galle Face Green and hundreds of women took to the streets on their bikes, the fruition of the company’s efforts was witnessed. While it was a celebration of Sri Lankan women, the pride echoed far beyond; it was a moment that all could stand behind.
