The Karate Finals of the 13th Defence Services Games 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Army, were detained on 4 and 5 August at the SL Army Indoor Stadium in Panagoda.
The tournament finished with remarkable and spirited performances, highlighting the growing competitiveness and high standards of karate within the armed forces.
The SLAF women’s karate team arose as champions, securing four gold, four silver and four bronze medals.
The SLAF men’s team settled the runners-up position claiming three gold and 10 bronze medals.
The event was adorned by Major General R.D. Sallay, who attended as the chief guest of the ceremony.
The finals were also viewed by SLAF Karate Chairperson Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera, SLAF Karate Secretary Group Captain Jayarathne Amarasinghe and members of the Air Force Sports Council, senior officers and other ranks.
