With the objective of further strengthening the financial strength required for the development of cricket at Mathugama Ananda Sastralaya National School, the player auction for the 10th edition of the "Sastralian Premier League – SPL" T10 cricket tournament, organized by the school administration and the alumni, will be held on October 18 at 4:00 PM at Yathodara Himakara Hotel. A special feature of this tournament, organized by the Old Sastralins Cricket Association, is that all 8 participating squads have already been purchased by commercial sponsors. A total of 143 players have registered to participate in the tournament, and the opportunity to select players for the squads will arise during this grand auction. Each squad can select up to 16 players, and the team captain is not included in the auction. Cricket players who are currently engaging in cricket or have engaged in it previously in schools within the Mathugama area are given the opportunity to represent the team through the "Guest Players" category.
