Royal College, Colombo and Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda gained the Boys’ and Girls’ titles respectively at the Under-18 ‘A’ Division All-Island Inter-Schools Table Tennis Team Championships 2024, held at the Indoor Stadium in Bandaragama.
In the Under-18 ‘A’ Division Boys’ final Royal beat Ananda College 3-1 while Dharmasoka and Dharmaraja College protected third place.
In the ‘A’ Division Girls’ final Dharmasoka beat Kegalu Balika MV 3-0 while Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo and Holy Cross College, Gampaha secured third place.
Results: (Under-18 Boys’ B Division): Ananda College, Colombo beat D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo (3-1).
‘C’ Division: St. Mary’s College Kegalle beat Kegalu Vidyalaya 3-0.
‘D’ Division: Vidyartha College beat Horizon College International, Malabe 3-1.
‘E’ Division: Methodist High School, Moratuwa beat Lyceum, Wattala 3-2.
‘F’ Division: Aluthgama MV beat Polymath College, Navinna 3-2.
(Under-18 Girls): ‘B’ Division: Southland Balika Vidyalaya, Galle beat Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy 3-0.
‘C’ Division: Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy beat Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo 3-0.
‘D’ Division: Horizon College International, Malabe beat Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, Kurunegala 3-1.
‘E’ Division: St. Joseph’s Balika Vidyalaya, Kegalle beat Swarnamali Girls’ College, Kandy 3-1.
‘F’ Division: Viharamaha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy beat St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo 3-2.
