Principals of Richmond and Mahinda will ceremonially open the tournament at 9.00 a.m.

In recognition of their contribution, whilst upholding the value of gratitude and respect, the tournament committee awarding
V. Rode G Weeratunga Challenge trophy to the Veterans and Lasantha Kaggodaarchchi Challenge trophy to the Masters.

In addition, since 1972, Captains have been invited as Chief Guests to the prize giving.

Accordingly, Captains of 1974 M.V.Gamini & Ranjan Dias Jayasinghe will grace this Year.

Dilshan Amarasinghe will lead Legends of Richmond, while Chamli Perera will lead Richmond Masters.

Sujith Sirimanna will lead Mahinda Veterans and Asoka Wewalwala will lead Mahinda Masters.

As a new feature, the organising committee decided to allow the School leavers to join the tournament who will follow the seniors. The under-30 teams will be playing a T10 during the lunch break.

Emerging Legends of Richmond will be led by Tharinda Nirmal and Emerging Mahinda Masters will be led by Romesh Probodha.

Kumar Samarasingh and Prasad Abeyasundara officiate as match referees, and Upul Sumathipala acts as the tournament chairman.

Richmond Cricket Club, Richmond Colombo Union, together with Mahinda Club and Mahinda Foundation, is organising the event annually.

Sisters and Brothers schools in Galle, too have been invited to take part to add glamour to the event.

All are invited to enjoy the entertainment and cricketing weekend followed by dinner.
