Mr. S. Achchudan officially assumed duties as the Director General of the Department of Sports Development today (02nd).
He received his letter of appointment from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mr. Sunil Kumara Gamage.
Following the appointment, he held his first official meeting with the officers of the Department of Sports Development at the Duncan White Hall, located within the Ministry premises.
During the meeting, he briefed the officials regarding the future development activities of the sports sector in the country.
