Former Sri Lanka fast bowler and skipper Lasith Malinga seems like to be appointed National team’s fast bowling consultant for the National squad which is getting ready for the upcoming T-20 World Cup.

The former captain Malinga has earlier served the National side in a counselling role on multiple occasions offering his experience and expertise to provision the player development. A senior official of SLC confirmed that Malinga is already with the National team training sessions to give his support to the fast bowlers.

Malinga is predictable to work with the Sri Lanka coaching staff for a short term stint focusing on refining pace, accuracy and death bowling skills as part of the National team World Cup preparations. His role involves working closely with the squad’s fast bowlers to improve and motivate their skills.
