Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis has undergone emergency surgery in Dubai,
It is reported that the emergency surgery was required after he was diagnosed with bladder stones.
Mendis is currently in Dubai to participate in the ongoing ILT20 tournament.
He is currently recovering from the surgery.
Due to the surgery, he will miss the remaining matches of the ILT20 tournament.
Accordingly, the Sharjah Warriorz team he represents in this tournament is scheduled to announce a new player replacement in the future.
Mendis played only one match (last 10th), in which he scored 23 (15) runs.
