Sri Lanka Cricket is reportedly set to appoint former Indian batsman Vikram Rathore as the batting coach of the Sri Lanka national team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Rathore, who served as India’s batting coach until 2024, is currently the assistant coach of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

He is expected to join the Sri Lanka squad on January 15.

According to sources, Rathore, who will be working with the team in the upcoming England series, will take steps to strengthen Sri Lanka’s batting preparation going forward through the T20 World Cup.
