A meeting between Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage was held today (06) at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Eranga Gunasekara and Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Thilakaratne also participated in the event.
The Indian High Commissioner stated that unconditional support will be provided for the development of sports and that support will be provided for sports development programs throughout the country to develop other sports including cricket.
He further said that he hopes to strengthen relations between the two countries in the future, especially in the field of youth affairs, and for this purpose, he invites the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Sri Lanka to visit the Indian Youth Affairs Division.
