Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya gained both Under-17 and Under-20 basketball titles of the Western Province School Games held in recent times. HFC met St. Joseph’s Girls School, Nugegoda in the finals and won 43 to 23 after leading 27 to 17 at half-time.
Binuthi Jayasinghe (13), Misheni Perera (12), Venessa Fernando (5) and Amaya Henry (5) were the leading scorers. In the Under-20 finals, HFC met Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena and won 70-50. The half-time score was 30-25. Dihini Dharmadasa (22), Tiara De Silva (16) and Kishuri Reiss (12) were the leading scorers.
