Harbhajan Singh stated that Afghanistan’s Under-30 players played good cricket in the Under-19 World Cup, but no practical person would believe that Afghan players are actually under 19. He claimed that all of them are at least above 29 years of age. In his view, you can never get ahead through cheating. He assumed that the Afghanistan Cricket Board repeatedly includes Under-30 players in the name of an Under-19 team.

He added that this does not harm anyone else but Afghan cricket itself, because this is a children’s tournament where young players progress by delivering strong performances. He expressed regret, saying that today 30-year-old Afghan players were playing cricket against 15-year-old Indian players.
