Five teams are take part in the on-going 4th National Development Bank (NDB) sponsored – Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) C Division 50 Over League Tournament.
The opposing teams include David Pieris Group of Companies “A”, Nawaloka Hospitals PLC, Commercial Bank PLC “A”, LOLC Holdings & MAS Unichela. The league stage of the tournament consists of a single group round-robin, including 13 matches and the final, scheduled to be played on September 28th at MCA grounds. Last year, DFCC Bank clinched the NDB Trophy with a comfortable 7-wicket win over Nawaloka Hospitals PLC in the final.
The league round matches have even now begun at MCA, Army grounds Mattegoda, Army grounds Panagoda, Bloomfield, Colts, and Pujitha Uduwana Millaniya (PUSA) at Horana. Special rewards for Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Man of the Series, and Man of the Final are expected to be given by the sponsors, while the winners will receive the NDB Trophy.
