Kingswood College recorded their first win this season when they beat Thurstan College by 31 points (5 tries, 3 conversions) to 17 points (2 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) in their Dialog Inter-School Under 19 Rugby encounter, which was worked off at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy yesterday (13).
At the short break, the lads from Randles Hill led 12/0.
Kingswood showed good skills in the initial half but the newcomers to the top division, Thurstan, put up a good determination in the latter half by scoring 2 tries. However, the home team replied with another hat-trick to secure their maiden victory this season.
