A video is circulating on social media that appears to show England cricketer Ben Duckett drinking heavily during a break in the series against Australia and unable to find his hotel.

The 31-year-old Duckett, who has averaged just 16 in this year’s Ashes, was caught on camera last week outside a shopping centre in a Queensland resort.

When fans asked him how to get back to his accommodation, Duckett said he didn’t know.

A supporter was also seen taunting him about his batting difficulties.

“Can you get me an Uber to go practice in the nets, bro?” one fan asked.

Duckett was later seen calling the fan a ‘crazy’ and saying that no one knew who he was.

The England and Wales Cricket Board is investigating the controversial drinking allegations.

However, reports suggest that some members of the squad saw the four-day break as an opportunity to party rather than relax and prepare for the match.

It was also reported that the England team had been drinking until 11pm at the Rococo Bistro, a restaurant a short distance from where Duckett was filmed drunk.

England lost the third Test in Adelaide, giving Australia a 3–0 victory.
