Sri Lanka pacer Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against India. As per reports, the pacer has been sidelined due to an injury.

The three-match T20I series is arranged to commence from July 27.

Chameera’s auxiliary in the squad is yet to be named. The pacer, who has been Sri Lanka’s go to bowler in the shortest-format of the game, was on the side-lines for a long time. 

He originally missed the ODI World Cup in 2023; He then wasn’t obtainable to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024. In the T20 World Cup in the USA, he only played two matches.

Chameera played the LPL before he was ruled out of the India series. The right-handed pacer has 55 wickets in T20Is so far to his name. The absence of Chameera will test the Sri Lankan bowling attack, with Matheesha Pathirana now taking to find another partner.
