Recently, super bowler Lasith Malinga did a wonderful job for the future of Sri Lankan cricket. 3500 people registered for it and out of those 3500, 353 were selected to show their talent first. The rest later.
Recently, those 353 went to Sugathadasa stadium.
Malinga wanted to find a bowler who could bowl at 135 kmph but that didn’t happen….
This morning, Malinga says this……
It’s very sad. Now we have looked at more than 30 fast bowlers. The maximum speed found was 122 kmph. I was expecting bowlers who could bowl at 135. There are other bowlers, let’s see if they can bowl right.
Then Mali says this about the number 227 from Batticalo…
The strongest bowler we have so far is from Batticalo.. So I am very happy.. So we also wanted to see who is good for us outside Colombo.. He bowls at 126.. I think he has the potential to increase his pace over time.. So I am very happy about that..
