The Sri Lanka squad for the upcoming white-ball series against India has been defer to to the Minister of Sports Harin Fernando for approval, with Charith Asalanka as the captain for both T20 and ODI formats.

The conclusion was made following Wanindu Hasaranga’s resignation from T20 captaincy and Kusal Mendis’s unsuccessful effort at leading the ODI team.

Three T20s and ODIs each will take place in Sri Lanka from July to August against India.
