
Quetta Gladiators have qualified for the final of the Pakistan Super League.They did so by defeating Islamabad United by 30 runs in the first match of the final round or Qualifier 1 match.
Batting first in the match held in Lahore, Gladiators scored 209 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Dinesh Chandimal, the highest run scorer of the innings, entered the field as the number 6 batsman and scored 48 runs not out in 28 balls with 3 sixes and 4 fours.
Avishka Fernando, the number 5 batsman, scored 32 runs in 21 balls. That was with a six and two fours. Faheem Ashraf also managed to score 45 runs not out off 23 balls. His innings included 3 sixes and 4 fours. Ben Dwarshuis and Salman Irshad took 2 wickets each. In reply, United were all out for 179 runs in 19.4 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan scored 52 (35), Salman Agha scored 44 (26) and Rassie van der Dussen scored 35 (23). In bowling, Usman Tariq took 3 wickets for 32 runs, while Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim took 2 wickets each.
