The closing ceremony of the Challenger – 2025 “All Island Age Group Badminton Tournament” concluded at the Colombo University Indoor Stadium.
This tournament, jointly organized for the second time by the Department of Physical Education, University of Colombo and the Sports Welfare Association, was held on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2025 at the Colombo University Indoor Stadium.
Over a thousand badminton players, representing many schools in the island, participated in it. The Chief Guest at the trophy and medal presentation ceremony of this tournament was the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Professor Indika Karunathilaka, and the Special Guest was the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Badminton Association, Buddhika De Silva.
