Army Legends appeared champions at the opening Ceylon Veterans Cricket (CVC) 40-plus T20 Tournament 2024, beating Colombo Masters by five wickets in the ending, organised and accompanied by CVC and played at the Army Ground in Panagoda recently.

Eight teams contested the tournament, with Army Legends being drawn in Group ‘B’ along with Sri Lanka Doctors, Mighty Stallions, and MCA Masters.

MCA Masters gained all their league matches to head the table in Group ‘B’ to enter the final.

Sriyan Obinamuni of Army Legends was announced the Player of the Series, whilst Nalaka Kaluarachchi of Army Legends was adjudged the Best Batsman.
