
Australia won both the men’s and women’s open titles in the World Indoor Cricket Championship, organized by the World Indoor Cricket Association in collaboration with the Ceylon Indoor Cricket Association.
In addition, Australia won both the men’s and women’s under-22 titles.
The runners-up in all four of these finals were New Zealand.
Australia, who were champions last year, demonstrated their dominance in the field of indoor cricket this time too.
The tournament, which was held in Thalawathugoda for ten days, saw the participation of 34 teams from nine countries and about five hundred foreign spectators, including players and parents of players.
