Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Thilakaratne participated recently to investigate the current condition of the Kilinochchi, Northern Provincial Sports Complex owned by the Ministry of Sports.
The outdoor stadium, indoor stadium, fitness center and swimming pool were inspected by the Deputy Minister.
The Deputy Minister of Sports, who observed that although the work was completed in 2017, the sports complex has become unusable in a very short time due to quality issues, said that steps will be taken to restore the sports complex for the benefit of children in all districts of the Northern Province. The event was attended by officials of the sports complex, officials of the Sports Development Division of the Ministry of Sports, and a group of local athletes and parents.
