A meeting between Cuban High Commissioner Andres Marcelo Gonzalez Garrido and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage was held today (26) at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The event was attended by First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy Maribel Durate Gonzalez, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Eranga Gunasekara, and Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Tillakaratne.
Cuban Ambassador Andres Marcelo stated that the Cuban government will provide support for the development of sports and youth affairs in Sri Lanka.
The Ambassador stated that the cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened in the future, while Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage stated that every possible action will be taken in this regard and that any support that can be provided as the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the government will be provided.
