That was by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, India&#8217;s refusal to receive its championship trophy at the end of the tournament was notable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award ceremony after the match was delayed by more than an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The championship trophy was supposed to be presented by Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi at the award ceremony. However, India refused to receive the trophy from him as he is also the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan&#8217;s interior minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly, Mohsin Naqvi was seen leaving the venue without presenting the championship trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India then celebrated its victory without a trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Pakistan captain was seen throwing away the symbolic cheque given for the runner-up position.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India won the 2025 Asia Cup last night.
