It is reported that much attention was paid to the upcoming Asia Cup cricket tournament at this meeting. The Asian Cricket Council has not issued a statement in this regard so far. However, all twenty-five member countries attended the meeting, Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi said. Eight countries are scheduled to participate in the Asia Cup, which will be held in the Twenty20 format. Apart from Test-playing Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Hong Kong will also participate in the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tournament is likely to be held from September 10 to 28, but it is reported that the tournament may start before September 10.
