{"id":8741,"date":"2025-04-08T14:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T09:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slsports.lk\/?p=8741"},"modified":"2025-04-08T14:54:23","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T09:24:23","slug":"brandix-cares-blind-school-sports-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slsports.lk\/si\/brandix-cares-blind-school-sports-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"Brandix cares Blind School sports meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The School for the Blind will conduct their Annual Inter-House sports meet on 9 April at their playgrounds in Ratmalana, opening at 9 a.m. with Brandix Essentials sponsoring the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visually impaired students get the casual to showcase their talent in athletics in competing for the Championship Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chief guest at the event will be Khalid Oshman, and skilful athlete despite being visually impaired. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the first Sri Lankan and only visually weakened athlete to compete in three triathlon ironman 70.3 events and two full marathons. He also won a gold medal in the 100m sprint at the National Para Athletics in 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, he gained two gold medals in Blind Boxing and the 5 km run at the 5th International Games in Bhutan.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The School for the Blind will conduct their Annual Inter-House sports meet on 9 April at their playgrounds in Ratmalana, opening at 9 a.m. with Brandix Essentials sponsoring the event.
