Prime Minister and Minister of Sports, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, the Indoor Stadium and Swimming Pool of the Vavuniya District Sports Complex completed by the Department of Sports Development were vested with the sportsmen and sportswomen at a simple ceremony that preceded traditional religious blessings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director General of Sports, Professor (Rear Admiral) Shemal Fernando and the District Secretary of Vavuniya, Mr. P. A. Saratchchandra and the government officials of Vavuniya were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fully pledged Indoor Stadium had been completed to cater for all indoor games such as Volleyball, Netball, Kabaddi, Karate, Badmiton, Gymnastic and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 25-meter Swimming Pool will be mainly available to schoolchildren of the entire Vavuniya District for them to learn swimming.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the directive of Hon.
