The Player Auction of the Lanka Premier League 2024, which is Sri Lanka\u2019s topmost domestic T20 League with an international flavor, will be conducted on May 21, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The auction will be held at the Hotel Shangi-La, Colombo starting at noon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the second consecutive year that the Lanka Premier League, which is growing in strength
and popularity, is conducting a \u2018player auction.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the initial three editions, the players were picked by a \u2018player draft.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every team has the option of having a maximum of 24 and a minimum of 20 players in a squad, while each squad should consist of six overseas players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be mandatory to play an U23 player (Sri Lanka) in the playing XI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The auction will be shown live across TV and digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The LPL will be conducted from July 1st to 21st, starting in Kandy, then in Dambulla, before heading to Colombo for the business end of the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
