In it, Avidu Liyanagedara of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura won the gold medal in the 60kg weight class with a total weight of 237kg, while Nipun Dissanayake of the University of Sabaragamuwa won the bronze medal in the 65kg weight class with a total weight of 220kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a special moment to join history as the first medal won by a Sri Lankan athlete in any sport in the history of the World University Games.
